The Two of Earth shows a woman very busy at her job. She is waiting on customers behind the diner’s counter. She is also in the middle of making change, overseeing orders, pouring coffee and supervising her daughter doing homework. This card is an accurate depiction of modern life. We multi-task all day long taking care of work, home, family, and other responsibilities. Our attention is divided and we have difficulty getting anything done. We try to juggle everything all at once. Sometimes this is impossible and leads to frustration and exhaustion. Balancing everything is not easy, but the woman is determined to accomplish it all. Her brown apron represents the grounding she needs, while her daughter’s clothes reflect growth and innocence. The décor’s colors symbolize a lack of balance, practicality, and order.
