My favorite card this month is the Six of Earth (Six of Pentacles). This card represents a common error in the act of giving. We often give because we have to, either out of a sense of responsibility or shame or even duress. This type of giving isn’t really giving at all. Real giving comes from the heart, from a sense of charity or sharing. It is not forced or even suggested. It is a natural act of compassion. It is good to give to those in need any way at all. but the greatest gift we can give ourselves is to give with an open heart.
