The Eight of Earth shows a jeweler at work creating his designs. The tools of his trade are laid on the table before him as well as the stones he has chosen to use in his jewelry. These stones are the colors of the chakras: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet. He wears an optivisor. The shelving behind him is green. This card shows the ingenuity and creativity of craftsmen who build beautiful works of art as well as objects we utilize every day. The jeweler learned his trade from a master so his skill will provide him with the prosperity he desires. He knows instinctively he must also connect with the creativity of spirit so he chooses the chakra colors to open that link. All of us have skills and talents that can be cultivated. It takes effort, study, training, and a lot of practice but eventually we can master a trade. The tools represent his accumulation of knowledge. The optivisor symbolizes the focus needed to create success. He doesn’t loose sight of his goals. Green is the color of prosperity, balance, and growth.
