The Youth of Water shows a young man on a white surfboard riding the waves. He is surrounded by the blue ocean. The surfer is enjoying this moment to the fullest, soaking up all of the excitement. The white surfboard that supports him represents his innocence. The waters of emotion completely surround him. They are the force that drives his momentum, but his only contact with them is his right, giving hand. His left hand skims the surface of the water indicating that he freely expresses his emotions but is reluctant to receive them from others. Puka shells represent good luck which is what he relies on. He leashes himself to the surfboard to push the limits of his experience.
