The Three of Air depicts a young woman sitting alone at a dining table set for two. The candle in the middle of the table has burned down to smoke. She is staring off with a look of disbelief on her face. Disappointment is something we must learn to live with in our lives. The woman has a choice to make. She can be devastated by her experience and suffer emotional scars that could effect her for a long time or she can decide to release her feelings of unhappiness and go on with her life. Yellow, the color of thought suggests that the way she is thinking has created her sorrow. The extinguished candle indicates her loss of hope. She is bringing the darkness in.
