Today’s Journey Tarot Five of Earth – Five of Pentacles
The Five of Pentacles suggests that a loss has occurred. The two battered wayfarers are traveling through the snow in a desperate situation. While it is easy to see that this card represents some kind of tragic situation, it is sometimes difficult to find the hope that these two individuals are expressing by the color of their clothes, the fact that they are moving forward, or the stained glass window above them. Today’s Journey Tarot’s Five of Earth shows a woman, obviously grieving in front of a stone monument. Her focus is turned inward, but a feather floats down behind her to represent hope, lightness, and freedom. She may not be aware of it yet, but those things are still available to her. It is a card of stagnation, a period of grief. It is her choice to turn and see the new beginning being offered.
