With the sun beginning to rise and dispel the darkness and his hand making the sign of blessing, it suggests that the worst is over – and it was bad – but there is the dawning of a new day. It is a card of renewal and new opportunities. Today’s Journey Tarot’s Ten of Air shows a modern area of devastating destruction. Whatever happened here was also very bad, but the butterflies have arrived to signal the transformation that is present in every tragedy. With a positive perspective this card indicates a chance for a new beginning.

The Nine of Swords from the Rider/Waite/Smith deck shows a woman sitting up in bed with her face in her hands. Nine swords hang behind and above her. The image here is quite clear. This card is one of despair and worry. There are many symbols in the card. The quilt is covered with red roses and astrological signs. The base of the bed is carved with mythological images. In Today’s Journey Tarot, the updated version is the Nine of Air. This image is also very apparent. A woman sits at her kitchen table with her head thrown back in anguish. Her bills are spread out before her. There is a caged bird beside her. She is consumed with fear and imprisoned by worry. We’ve all been there.
