The Six of Earth shows a driver in a gray car stopped at a busy intersection. A volunteer is holding a green collection bucket that says “Give” to the car window for a donation. The driver reluctantly complies. The volunteers, dressed in yellow, are in other lanes and intersections as well. People ask us for things all the time. Although we give, we often do so without a charitable heart. The volunteers are soliciting the drivers for money who feel they have no choice. This card says there is nothing wrong with asking for help but oftentimes we ask in such a way that causes resentment. It is good to give of ourselves, our time, and our money. But do it freely and without expectation or resentment. The green bucket represents balanced giving but the gray car suggests the driver’s hesitation to give.
