The Two of Air shows a young girl playing a carnival dart game. There are only two yellow balloons left for her to hit. The girl has her hand over her eyes so she cannot see where she is throwing. Sometimes we drive ourselves crazy trying to figure out the right thing to do. We often feel like this whenever we have decisions or choices to make. If we only knew the outcome our choice would be a lot easier, but we never do. We even try to get someone else to make decisions for us whenever we can. We make decisions all day long with each action we take. Some turn out fine and sometimes we regret we hadn’t chosen better. We are meant to make our own decisions so we can learn what we need to and then move on. The girl believes she is giving up responsibility for her actions. However, she has already made a choice. The two yellow balloons symbolize the alternatives open to her. The carnival worker offers her encouragement she cannot see. Gray is the color of doubt. A sawdust road is only temporary.
