Today’s Journey Tarot Symbolism from “Today’s Journey Tarot, A Traveler’s Guide” Four of Water

The Four of Water depicts a young man walking down a crowded urban street at night. The self absorbed young man doesn’t see or hear anything around him. He is plugged into his ear buds and looking down as his sandals splash through the puddles. This card accurately shows how many of us go through life. We bemoan our lack of opportunities while not paying attention to what is going on around us. We may recognize favorable circumstances when they are large enough to get our attention, such as a new job offer. It is the constant stream of opportunities always available that we miss. We go through our lives with blinders on, not paying attention to the little details. Any one of these could grow into a chance to make changes in our lives. The green and blue clothes suggest an abundance of emotional balance available to him. He splashes through his emotions as if they aren’t there as the water disappears down the drain.
