Today’s Journey Tarot Symbolism from “Today’s Journey Tarot, A Traveler’s Guide” Key 11 Karma

Key 11 shows two dancers in a circular spotlight on a red curtained stage. The man and woman are polar opposites yet they complement each other perfectly. The position captured in the spotlight expresses the classic Yin/Yang, the ancient symbol of duality. Yin represents the negative energies and Yang the positive. While these energies have traditionally been associated with masculine and feminine forces, negative/black with the feminine and positive/white with the masculine, the image indicates that those forces are not gender based.   They are just two opposing forces. As we go through life we will experience both extremes and our challenge is to bring ourselves back to the center, to the stability of balance. The red curtain expresses the primal energy of the Universe. The wood floor represents strength and flexibility and the reliability of Karma.
