At first glance the Ten of Swords looks to be a very unfavorable card. After all, the man lying here has ten swords piercing his back and there is blood flowing from his wounds. You have to look a lot closer to see the blessing this card implies. With the sun beginning to rise and dispel the darkness and his hand making the sign of blessing, it suggests that the worst is over – and it was bad – but there is the dawning of a new day. Whatever happened here was also very bad, but the butterflies have arrived to signal the transformation that is present in every tragedy.
