The Ten of Wands from the traditional Tarot shows a man carrying a heavy burden of wands. He is bent over from the load so that even his vision is blocked by them. We can understand from this image what is happening here. He is struggling with a heavy burden and unable to see the cause or the solution right now. The pressure is great. When Expanding Dimensions, the creators of Today’s Journey Tarot sought to modernize this concept, a traffic jam seemed the perfect representation. We have all been the victim of becoming stalled in traffic, not knowing what is going on, not knowing when it will clear. We have all become frustrated, perhaps even angry and agitated by the delay. Many things in life feel this way and it is up to us to wait until thing become clear and not allow the circumstances to create more tension in our lives.
